One of Wales’ most notable contemporary poets is Tudur Dylan Jones from Carmarthen. We were fortunate enough to be able to commission Dylan to write a poem in praise of Tresaith and the accommodation we provide. Dylan is a ‘prifardd’ who won the prestigious chair at the National Eisteddfod in Colwyn Bay in 1995, and more recently the chair at the National Eisteddfod in Snowdonia 2005. We are delighted that Dylan stayed at Fronifor, and that Tresaith inspired him to write the following poem (translated from Welsh):

Tresaith

Amongst the cliffs of Dyfed
Tresaith is evermore,
where the waves of time keep laughing
with the seagulls on the shore,
deep in the heart where land and sea
will sing in Welsh with you and me.

For those who know the music,
and for those who know the way,
there’s a haven full of beauty
a place for you to stay
a place where you can always be
learning the song of land and sea.
